School boards report that students in communities under 500 residents receive 30 percent fewer instructional hours in STEM subjects than urban counterparts in St. John's.
The grant supports mobile education units equipped with satellite-linked computers, modular classrooms, and curriculum kits tailored to provincial standards. Funding covers vehicle modifications for ice-road travel and storage facilities in three hub ports. Organizations must demonstrate prior experience operating vessels or aircraft in Atlantic winter conditions.
