Applicants must supply municipal tax rolls from the prior three years and letters from the local development association confirming that at least 60 percent of participants reside within 50 kilometres of the activity site.
Coastal community revitalization proposals must list specific heritage structures scheduled for interpretation, such as the registered fishing stages at Petty Harbour or the cod liver oil factory ruins at Battle Harbour. Proposals omitting these identifiers are returned without review. Budgets must allocate no more than 25 percent to administrative salaries; remaining funds must cover artist fees, participant travel on the provincial ferry system, and materials for on-site demonstrations.
The realities of seasonal ferry schedules and winter road closures limit application windows to submissions received between February and April for summer delivery. Review panels require evidence that proposed musicians or storytellers are listed on the provincial creative industries registry.
